Cold‑rolled steel sheets, packaging steel strips, strapping steel strips and blue‑finished strapping bands have a wide range of applications, such as automobile manufacturing, electrical products, locomotives and rolling stock, aviation, precision instruments, food cans and so on.

Cold‑rolled thin steel sheet is the short name for cold‑rolled sheet of ordinary carbon structural steel, also known as cold‑rolled steel sheet, commonly referred to as cold plate. Cold plate is manufactured by further cold‑rolling hot‑rolled strips of ordinary carbon structural steel into sheets with thickness less than 4 mm. Being rolled at room temperature, it produces no oxide scale. Therefore, cold plate features good surface quality and high dimensional accuracy. Combined with annealing treatment, its mechanical and technological properties are superior to those of hot‑rolled thin steel sheets. In many fields, especially household appliance manufacturing, it has gradually replaced hot‑rolled thin steel sheets.
